What’s happening at Magic Patch Quilting?
One on One Zoom Sessions:
Would you like to learn the secrets of making a Magic Patch Quilting project, like perfect flying geese, half square triangles, etc.
Do you have an area of quilt construction you would like some extra help with, a project you are having trouble with, or something you would like to learn?
A 30 min one on one Zoom session with me is an option. These can be at a prearranged time suitable to us both. Cost for one of these sessions will be $25 per 30min (pro rata if we run overtime). If you would like further information , or to book a time contact me.
Weekly classes:
While covid restrictions are still in place we will continue with Zoom. Each class will only be one hours’ duration and one four week block per term. They will be on Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning at 10.30 am, Wednesday night at 7.30 pm, and Thursday afternoon at 1.30pm. They will commence the week starting Tuesday, February 9th 2021.
Cost will be $25 per four week session.
Monthly Classes:
These classes will all run on a Friday or Saturday and be two hours in duration. At this stage, they will also be held via Zoom. Cost will be $20 per month which will include relevant notes etc. Materials and kits are extra.
- For the first time in 13 years there will not be a Mystery Quilt class in 2021. Instead you can make one of the past Mystery Quilts. You will also receive the patterns for the associated projects from that quilt. A video of all of these can be found below.
- The latest Farmer’s Wife quilt book “Homestead Medallion Quilt” by Laurie Aaron Hird, will be offered as a monthly class. You will need to own this book to take part in this class. I do have them for sale. You can choose to use your stash or put together an especially chosen palette for your quilt. Be prepared for some little pieces!
- It has long been a desire of mine to make my version of the “Rajah Quilt”. It is my intention to start this journey in 2021. It would be great if you could join me on this journey of piecing a Rajah quilt that is all about you.

I have also decided to run some workshops throughout the year focusing on different techniques. The projects will not be big! The first workshop will be focusing on “Broderie Perse”.
